In South Africa, sunflowers are planted from the beginning of November to the end of December in the Eastern areas and to mid January in the Western areas. In soil with a high clay content, sunflower seeds are planted at a relatively shallow depth of 25 mm. We are in one of the provinces in South Africa that is very much profitable when it comes to Sunflower Farming in North West.
We have accumulated well over 50 Hectares of land and next season will extend to 70 hectares. This is our second year in farming but we really aiming high in improving our farming experience. We really want to create innovative ways in farming, getting latest machinery when it comes to sunflower farming is essential.
